Ferber is a conservative politician from Bavaria, Germany. Being a rapporteur and coordinator for the proposed law for insurers, while also being coordinator for the proposal for banks, he is one of the key MEPs. He holds much power over the policy-making process.

We know that Ferber is heavily opposed to a One-for-one rule. He recently even proposed to delete all references to sustainability for the draft texts for insurers and banks.
